I was just looking last night, that my 20ga was much widder than a 16ga i have. Both guns are O frame and pistol grip.

Like the triggers they guard, they vary slightly by era, likely by filer and by hammer vs. hammerless but a #6 frame 8 ga guard is pretty much the same in profile as a contemporary #2 frame 12 ga.

Most of my trigger guards are fairly close, with one exception. That one is off a BH made for the pro shooter Ferguson, who shot under the name Robin Hood. The width is similar at the front then tapers much faster than the others. The 1 1/2 frame DH I tried it on actually has the rear trigger sticking out a bit on the side. The factory engraving with Robin Hood on it shows it hasn't been altered.

That's pretty close, Dean. This one has pretty much a straight taper front to back. Its no longer on this Parker. Almost half the rear trigger is exposed by it on the gun it is on now. The triggers on the DH it is on now may have been bent for a lefty. The factory chokes are full right/cylinder left.
