Can someone help. I have a Parker SxS and the grade mark is a diamond on its side with the letters OV inside. I assume the V is the grade VH but am confused by the O letter.
It has extractors also.
In addition the barrel is stamped trojan steel. But the grade is OV Both the barrel and receiver have the same serial number 18xxxx.
Thank you for your help

OV is the mark for a Trojan
We know that V is the mark for a grade 1 or VH and GH and DH and CH and up but all we know is OV in that horizontal diamond is the mark for a Trojan and we do not know what the letters O and V represent.

No mystery, George. "Oy veh! A Parker for $27.50!!" OV is an abbreviation for "oy veh", pronounced oy vay'. Bill Mullins and Charlie Price should have consulted their rabbis for solutions to the Parker mysteries. Last edited on Wed Apr 15th, 2009 12:33 pm by Bill Murphy

Oddly enough I've never seen a circumcised Trojan. I've seen and owned circumcised G's, D's, C's and a lot of hammer guns but never a circumcised Trojan

I never knew that Charles & Wilbur were Jewish. This is a wonderful site. I'm learning new things all the time.
Happy Passover..........George

Many thanks for the info on it being a Trojan. Any comments on the shell extractors. I looked at the web site for grades etc. but am under the impression the Trojan's did not have shell extractors.
Thank you

All Parkers have either extractors or ejectors. How else would you get the shells out?
All Trojans had extractors. Ejectors would have required a different, much more expensive forend assembly.

Ejectors (spring loaded) throw them across the room after they're fired. Extractors just raise them up far enough to pick them out with your fingers.
