I just acquired a DHE 16ga. that is a true left handed gun. The triggers are reversed in location and the front trigger fires the left barrel. The chokes are also reversed--.008 in the left and .023 in the right! As a lifetime lefty I was amazed at how good the gun felt with the front trigger being moved over to the left side. I'll be sending off for a letter next week, but was wondering if others had run across other guns that are so configured. It's a 234xxx vintage gun and unaltered. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Sure, they are out there and were ordered by the lefties. Does your stock have cast for left also or is it neutral? Some triggers are also canted left or right, most are neutral.
Parker accomodated its customers.

Occassionally there is an entry "twist triggers" in the order book for a left hand gun

I was shown that gun a few years ago and passed on and did so again last month. I'm glad it found a good home. Good Luck with it.

High grade Parker with order notation that the triggers were to be blued and turned left. Attached Image (viewed 240 times):

Yes--on this gun, the triggers are reversed. The front trigger is moved to the left side of the trigger guard, with the rear trigger repositioned on the right. And yes--the stock is cast on! I've ordered a letter. Maybe the records will show who the southpaw was that ordered the gun! Thanks for the comments. Hope to see you at the Southern in 10 days.

To clarify--unlike the picture above where the triggers were "twisted" left--this gun has the triggers reversed.

They came either or both ways for the southpaws, the triggers could be checkered and the front trigger could be hinged. I count twelve different double trigger combinations. Or you could get a single trigger, which could select which barrel to fire first, could be checkered or twisted or could be installed in the front or rear position.

I am sure most folks are aware that you can swap the trigger positions on any double trigger Parker so the front trigger fires the left barrel. I am a right handed person but shoot left handed due to a damaged right eye. I have been doing this since I was 17. I have had a number of true "left handed" doubles made for me and done trigger swaps and bent triggers but true lefty triggers feel odd to me having shot right handed guns for so long. Truth be told my favorite gun is my 1893 Purdey pigeon gun with it's set of modern (1967!) with notchless Briley tubes. I set the Miller trigger to shoot the left barrel first and put the more open tube in it. With its stock already bent to cast on....a ready made left handed gun...I have a M21 with a factory choking IM left, Full Right and the same procedure applies.
