Membership,

I am going to send the PGC a check for $100 to help in the current battle, which is nothing more than our city, county, state, and federal governments stuffing this DEMOCRACY horseshit down our throats! I would encourage you to donate what ever you can. Attorney fees are expensive, and it won't do much good, but I will damn sure feel better!

I am sick and tired of hearing Presidents Clinton, Bush, and Obama refer to this as a Democracy, when in fact it is a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. Basically, a Democracy is rule by the people or "mob rule". It is important to understand the only thing the founding fathers agreed upon, was it would not be a Democracy! A Republic provides individual rights against the "mob", and a Constitutional Republic limits the power of the government! Imagine that concept!

Don, please post how you want the check made out, and the mailing address of the club. Philadelphia does seem like an appropriate place to make a stand! Lon

By the way, in my case, tax wise, this donation "deduction" will be funded 42% by our DEMOCRATICALLY controled government. Put that in your stimulus package!

Lon, why don't you just invite Don to move the Philadelphia Gun Club to Roberts? You could lease them the land and I doubt that unruly mob at the bar in town will be in any condition to storm anywhere past about 9pm. I suspect they do well to make it to their pickup trucks.

Don and several others of the PCG being lawyers, I suspect they have enough free legal help and don't need donations. Besides those guys are truly Philadelphia lawyers and I suspect they can more than hold their own.

The Pennsylvania Flyers is a lobbying organization that could use the money.  Their newsletter will keep you up to date on what is going on.  I haven't participated in a PA shoot for years, but I have always paid dues to the organization, just on general principles.  They sponsor a reception for PA legislators every year to keep them up to date.  As you are aware, some legislators choose not to attend.  Don will let us know what his opinion of the PA Flyers organization is, and the mailing address for donations and membership.  Membership in the Flyers is decreasing probably, because the participation in shoots is decreasing.  Membership in the PA Flyers is mandatory to participate in most shoots.  On a similar subject, I do not participate in the competitive shoots in my pigeon club much any more, but I continue to pay dues in my club just because it's the thing to do.  Either Don or I will post the mailing information later.  I don' t have it in front of me right now.

I just spoke with one of the board members of the PA Flyers about joining a couple of days ago actually. I'm not from PA but I shoot pigeons and feel like my membership money might help in some slight way so I'm joining up.

Good idea, Destry.  I didn't want to promote them too highly without Don's input here.  I have been a dues paying member for years, but have had little input about the opinion of their work from others.   They seem to be the only vocal force behind flyer shooting at the State Legislature.

Thank you so much, Lon but I think The PA Flyers Association Legal Defense Fund would be a worthy receipent of your generosity. The PGC, itself, contributes $10K a year to it.

Don,

Thanks! Will someone post an address or phone number for PA Flyers, as I could not find anything on Google.
