C's are great guns, usually great wood, excellent engraving. About half the C's before the mid 1920's , by my imperfect line of sight sampling, have a standard floorplate engraving motif of a stag set against hills or mountains. The other half could be anything and I have seen grouse on display, turkeys, wood ducks, pheasant, many different species. Post mid 1920's the usual C bottom engraving is a setter in a variety of poses , and you can also find many different bird species. That makes them highly interesting. From about 1900 to 1905, by my imperfect sampling again, there were some C's made with round side plate engraving and on those, there will be a unique, never seen on another Parker, floorplate engraving. Those are highly interesting. Then there are the Bernard barreled C's,  very flamboyant barrels and attractive. And there are a handful of small bore damascus and Bernard barreled C's. I have a 20ga damascus with roundell side engraving and well done, unique,  floor plate engraving, and I have several others I've collected over the course of 20 years. I like them all , and you will really like your new one.  To many collectors, they are the practical grail of collecting because they sometimes come available and at values that can be achieved with savings by many serious collectors. The B's and above are out of reach for many.

Bruce,

I don't know Herb, I live in town just off the river... one of my clients owns the Basalt Gallery here in town.  Either way pass my name along to Herb...love to meet him, especially if he's a shooter.

Also, who made that great looking hard case your "slilck little CHE" is in?  Is that a stock item someone offers or did you have it custom made for your gun?  I purchased a nice one from Galzan for my VH, but in your photo's I like the thought of having lids on the compartments.

Herb is not a shooter, he is flogger of water with some kind of un-natural substance stick, a Helios or some sort of branding name.

That's ok, where we live, we all flog the water.  Two gold medal rivers within 200 yards of my back door.  It's something to do when I can't shoot anything.

Thanks for the Huey's link.
