All the old Parker photo collectors missed this one. I haven't researched the gun to confirm it is a Parker, but it looks like an early lifter with non recessed hinge pins. It also appears to have quite long barrels. If the card is a fake, the price paid by the winner doesn't indicate it. It appears to be a studio photo, so the gun was probably used many times unless it belonged to the subject. The Ebay # is 6139243031. Look before the supersized image is removed.

I guess I may have gotten a little carried away. The lifter button seems to be too far forward to be a Parker; it may even be the hinge mechanism for a side lever. What do you think?

I have a Lawrence (Laconia, NH) lifter that can easily be mistaken for a <4000s/n Parker, from across the room.

It was worse than across the room, Austin, but I should have known better. It is still a very nice cabinet card, Parker or no Parker. As a fellow lifter shooter, let's surprise the troops and shoot a couple of practice rounds Friday at the April event with lifter guns. I'll bring one if you will.

Murphy,
As a photo collector I'd have snapped it up thinking it was a Parker and thought that till I was told differently by someone who knows more about lifter guns that I do. *laughs*

Bill: I shot my lifter at Southern S X S last year and will bring it again . Depending how my practice goes, I'll shoot it , or the ever reliable 5 digit V in the Challenge Qualifying round.
