I am reviewing the letter on my 16 gauge CHE 129901 and am wondering how original Parker choke nomenclature converts to todays I.C., Mod, Full etc.

"The chokes were patterned RH (140 #8 pellets in a 30"circle at 40 yards) and LH (185 # 8 pellets in a 30" circle at 40 yards)

Thanks, Lon

Lon,

Assuming this is a 1 oz. load wich has 409 pellets of #8, it would be light skeet, and light I.C.    Skeet should have 164 pellets in the circle, I.C. 205 pellets.

With a 7/8 oz. load which has 358 pellets of #8

It would be skeet, with 143 pellets in a 30" circle at 40 yds.

Improved Cyclinder, with 179 pellets in a 30" circle at 40 yds.

Your gun was probably tested with fiber wads, and will shoot a little tighter with plastic wads.
