I just checked with Holiday Inn Select & Comfort Inn in Easton ,MD  ,each facility have approximately 10 rooms remaining at the reduced rate . The cut off date to take advantage of the lower rates for both motel and the PGCA Annual Banquet is 30 JUNE 2008 . Details for both are published in the last Parker Pages on page 4 . Allan

The PGCA Comfort Inn rates are well below what I paid last year.  Less than it costs me to stay at home, not including checks written for guns at the Vintagers of course.

The DAYS INN of EASTON has agreed to give the PGCA and THE VINTAGERS a special rate for The Vintage Cup 2008.  The Days Inn of Easton, Maryland has about 80 rooms of which about 40 have two double beds.  Eight of the rooms at The Days Inn have just one kingsize bed and some of the rooms have just one queensize bed.  ONLY 15 of the rooms at The Days Inn are SMOKING ALLOWED ROOMS.  You can have your dog stay with you at The Days Inn of Easton for a one time fee of $13.00.  The manager of The Days Inn is STEVE WALTERHOEFER.  The phone number for The Days Inn is 410-822-4600 or 410-822-4602.  This motel is about 14 or 15 miles from the shooting grounds at Pintail Point where The Vintage Cup 2008 will be held.

Good Shooting To You,  Jent

I am planning on having the parking lot of The Days Inn of Easton guarded again this year like we did last year for The Vintage Cup Event and like we did this last April in Sanford for The Southern SXS.

For your information, the Days Inn may be about the closest motel to the PGCA dinner.  The Hampton Inn, Easton is just about as close and is brand new, a bit upscale from most other choices, but is probably a few dollars higher in price.  Anything in Easton is about the same distance from Pintail Point, but very close to the Dinner and Annual Meeting, which is in Easton.  Most members choose to drive a few miles to the shooting grounds in order to be nearer restaurants and the PGCA dinner.  Y'all come.

Yes I did and I'll get a check to you Allan also. That's $60 per person so I'll send $120 for Kathy and me.

By the way Allan, will you have any more qhahts of Vermont pure maple syrup this year? (I bet it ain't twenty bucks this time :D)

Dean : I do not want to get off subject ; however , maple production was off nearly 50% this spring ( locally a banner year )--and as you stated the wholesale price of syrup is climbing to unheard of proportions ,with the product expected to be sold out by the fall of 2008. Fear not , I was way ahead of the game and stocked up on the "first run " at last years prices .  Make sure that all attend the banquet for a VERMONT SURPRISE !!! I think this years banquet will be the best ever .  Another notch forward . Allan

My information about various hotels and distances from the dinner and Pintail Point are not meant to disparage the headquarters hotel.  I am staying at the Comfort as I always do, but thought more information is good information.
