Travis,
By Golly, I think you've got the process down. Those barrels look great.

Steve, I am responding to your inquiry and posting it openly for anybody else who has concerns. I stopped by Dale's this morning. Barrels are getting done and out at the rate of about four sets per week. The perceived delay may be because he was so backed up and the winter weather caused finish problems that had to be redone. The best advise Dale and I can offer is patience. I only saw a backlog of maybe 40 barrel sets there now.
Sometimes delays are caused by the condition. A low grade Remington damascus barrel set sent in had to go off to have the top rib relaid. It came back relaid but leaking, so Dale had to fix that, and then we noticed it was still oozing water. So that has to be dried and sealed. And if it leaks upon finishing, the finish steps will have to be redone. Its that kind of thing that causes delays.
Jay Gardner, a nice set of Parker barrels, they look great so far and I'm sure it will be a treasured gun.

Steve, I neglected to look for your barrels, and I do not know their status. Dale specifically pointed out Jay's barrels. The rusting cabinet, an old refrigerator, held about five barrels.
