Well, I'll try again! I just tried to post this and It vanished, I have a special talent ,I can delete files with the wave of my hand! Anyway I bought a nice Fore-end (GB) serial# 84051 ,it amazes me when a part like that get seperated from it's rightful home. I have heard stories of parts being stolen off a displayed guns.
What does it belong on?

The Parker data (see Serialization book) taken from a Parker order book shows it as a "D3" which is the code for a grade 3 or D grade gun with Damascus barrels. However, the checkering pattern outline is typical of a grade 2 or G grade forend. A "factory letter" might clear this up. There could be an error in the Serialization book.

I humbly suggest the pattern appears more D than G considering the number of "points" Attached Image (viewed 294 times):

It appears that Tom Leshinsky has already looked up the serial number to have come up with the information he has.
That checkering pattern is typical of D, C, B and A grades with splinter forends.

Well, Thanks everyone! I don't own any D grade guns, but it looks like I own a D grade forearm. The GH butt stock & fore-arm that I bought on E-bay has 3 points on the fore-end checkering & the walnut is almost black on the butt stock,I figured it to be a grade higher than my other GH's that have 2 points on the checkering and a different walnut(much lighter).

Don is correct! My computer images are not great and my eyes are worse. On closer inspection the outline is D and the metal engraving is better than G. Sorry for the confusion. Charlie

If you don't want to have to deal with the screws I'll gladly buy it from you.
