Stopped at a local gunshop this afternoon to get some cleaning supplies for the big dove trip this weekend.  They had on the rack a VH 20 with perfect 30" barrels, obviously reblued and possibly lightly honed.  Matching numbers on lug and tang (22?,???).  Fairly nice PG wood with a semi gloss finish and DHBP, almost certainly a restock, some ripples where the grain was sanded without a block.  40-50% original appearing case colors, nice reblue on the TG and tang, crisp engraving.  I put it down quickly when I looked at the price tag......... $5900.

Maybe for a 20 ga. VH with 32" barrels and original stock and barrel blue without honing et al. but it sure sounds kinda pricey for the gun you describe

not to change the subject from the gun in question but I have a 30" 20ga belgian gun and I think I shoot it better than anything else.    Long barrels and small gauge has a good feel, to me at least.

I bought a VHE 30" 20g 0 frame gun on Auction Arms 6 months ago for $1200- Buy It Now. It needed the barrels reblued. I actually bought it as a VH and when it arrived, lo and behold, it had kickers;) The right barrel had light surface rust on one side of the barrels from laying in a case and looked like crap. The barrels are now done and they look perfect.  Total investment $1500...Go figure...

I couldn't find that gun on Pug's website - are you sure about it ?

(They had one a few months ago that I almost bought...until I was told that it had thin barrel walls.)
