Default Simmons Barrels

There was some talk/interest in an earlier thread concerning the barrel work offered by Simmons, especially new barrels for our Parkers. I just spoke to the owner Jim Wright and he will be attending the Southern Friday afternoon and Saturday. He dose not have a table as this was a last minute decision to attend but will be their with some examples of their work which will include O frame barrels for Parkers. This will be a great opportunity for anyone interested in having this type of work done to get any questions they might have answered and see an example of their work.

Saw them in Tulsa. They say production of all barrels in all gauges will begin soon.

Joe,
From what I've been told you could have anything from 16 gage to 410's made and fitted to your O frame gun in any length and choke configuration you would like. I am looking forward to meeting Mr. Wright at the Southern and seeing some examples of his work.

Larry, please take photographs of his barrels for us and post them here. Also, ask him if he plans to attend Hausman's in June. There will be a lot of folks at Hausman's who are not able to attend the Southern.

I am going to be at the Southern so I hope to see Simmons there. Maybe a set of 28ga barrels is in my future. I would kill for a nice set of 16ga 30" tubes for my O frame money pit

As of the Tulsa show there was no barrel production just preparation. They displayed some parts in the white and an assortment of rib samples.

I talked to Joe and he will have a finished barrel with him in Sanford. He intends to begin production May 1st. If I sell my BH 12 at Sanford my O frame money pit may get a 28ga set .

Default Simmons Barrels

Gee: Maybe someone can talk Simmons into 10 Ga. Barrels in both #2 and #3 frame. would make many old 2 frame VH Parkers more interesting. not to mention many old pitted tens in all grades. Pluss add to their work load.
