I'd agree on the price as an heirloom. If you were to sell it, then I don't think you'd risk much with a $0.01 start, no reserve auction. I feel certain that gun and case would attract a fair amount of attention. Very nice, and thank you for sharing. As others have already stated - that's a pretty freaking neat gun case.
What does the old girl weigh? The gun? Your question concerning value is legitimate. I don't know who could tell you how to properly insure that against loss. If that is an actual Parker Bros gun box from that era, then I would venture a guess the box itself is worth more than most VH grade shotguns on the market.

Very nice indeed. Can you post an image showing the top of the barrels with any print that may appear on the rib? Also, Please post some photos of the paper and brass shells, particularly showing any printing or Headstamp that appears on them. Are the shells primed, or do they have nipples to receive the caps? The case is also most interesting. |
