Default The Old Reliable Hit's YouTube

I watch this YouTube channel on a regular basis & overall like it.

I was pleased at first to see a segment on Parkers hit the channel a few minutes ago. Then after it got to the meat of the action, I was disappointed to see all the misconceptions, misinformation & other out right BS the interviewee's put forth about them. Their obvious anti-Parker bias showed throughout.

I sure wish TGS would have contacted someone in the Parker collectors group to interview who actually knows the guns, its history & appreciates them for what they are.

WTF does the Brit mean by Parker being a good guy because he made guns for the army of Northern Aggression ? Not saying he wasn’t a good guy , but the limey is implying he isn’t a good guy if he made arms for the Confederacy ???? Quite frankly after the limey made his comment I turned it off .

I much agree with Paul's comments. Dialog and flow smacks mightily of "I knew a guy that knew a guy that owned a Parker...."

A few 1853 Enfields . But his comment about “good guys” I deem VERY inappropriate . Actually 1853 Enfields were sold to the Confederacy and the army of Northern Aggression .

What a bunch of wankers. Saw a boatload of nice Parkers this weekend at Deep River. If only they had spoken to Louis Parker about the Parker gun and maybe the book he helped write. As to Pigeon guns, I have a no safety DH that would qualify as it is a gun that has had enough high brass shells through it to deform the breech face metal around the firing pin holes. Babe Sr. said that he had never seen that before. Shoot lights out though.

The Orvis guys reminded me why I hate Orvis, corporate jerks who know little. I love the TGS videos but this one is just not up to their usual high standards. Jonny Carter is a good guy and I’ve learned a huge amount about British firearms and shooting scene from watching the videos. He’s also quite popular in the UK. I appreciate what he does and also, that he is taking an interest in American shotguns. That said, he needs to understand his subject far better and not rely on one biased source. Also, as a NJ guy who just moved from Alabama, shut up about the Civil War, unless you want to ignite one.

Joe I’m not sure if that was directed at the Brit or me . However I’m of the opinion the tinders on the fire all it needs is a spark and in the present state of affairs I can’t say I think it a bad thing .
