Default Snack Time!

We recently had a couple of bucks visit our backyard feeder. When bucks show up they usually don't like other deer infringing on their snack. On this late afternoon day, two bucks showed up at the same time and began sparring over who'd get the corn . . .

. . . you can see which one earned the honors and is shown moving in . . .

. . . to enjoy his evening snack . . .

Deja-vu... I saw that buck's twin (I mean nearly identical in every feature) for sale as a head mount in an antique shop in Qhechee Vermont today for $250. t looked to be 50 or more years old but the resemblance is uncanny!!

From the tracks in the snow it appears they are "regulars". Fun pictures.

We put out a bit of corn at our place in northern Mich. This young guy should be ready next fall, assuming he made it thru this season. Sorry for the small image. Not sure how to blow it up
