I'm surprised no one mentioned Rem-Oil. It's what I use on the surfaces.

Like Dean I use Ballistol moistened on a sheep's wool pad to wipe down my long guns and pistols. Wilson Combat Ultima-Lube II Gun Grease on metal contact points. Semi thick and doesn't run. Renaissance wax on blued firearms but it can used on everything.

Clenzoil to clean. I’ll place my complete receiver in an ultrasonic cleaner for 3-5 cycles, blow it out and use lube sparingly. Add Clenzoil to a bore snake to clean the bores. Clenzoil hinge-pin jelly for the hinge pins. Ray’s Gun Wax to seal up and protect all metal and wood surfaces. If need be I add a touch of Chip McCormick Trigger Slick to any sear engagement surfaces.

I guess I'm old school or live in the past, but I still clean bores and the metal with Hoppe's #9. Then put a dab of Gunslick oil on my finger and hit the knuckle and hinge. I think it's the combination of both that take me back to my childhood, watching dad clean the guns, just good memories.
Before I put guns in the safe, I'll spray sheep's wool with G 96 and wipe down. Now that I'm out of G 96, like Ken, I'll spray my Outer's cloth with Rem oil and wipe. Bobby, Walmart has plenty of Rem oil, spray and liquid.

Eezox and a wool pad. Observed one of our noted members using this years ago at a show. Been using it since with great confidence.
