Default Woodcock on G grade

Hello,

Sorry in advance for this redundant post. I am curious if anyone has an example of woodcock on a G grade gun. On the Grade description on the forum homepage it states that about G grade guns: They were significantly better engraved than the lower grade guns. Quail, ducks, snipe and woodcock are common figures in the engraving of the frame sides and bottom.

I have never seen a G grade with woodcock on it.. Would love to see some examples.

Also does anyone know of any G grades with anything besides birds on the floorplate?

John

I have seen numerous G grade hammer guns with a woodcock engraved on the bottom of the frame.

The best woodcock I have seen was one Dean had Geoffrey add to the trigger guard of a hammer gun. I am certain it’s here somewhere.

You have a repressed unconscious desire for a C grade AH Fox. Checkout the engraving on them it’s the closest to what I think your seeing in your mind with a Setter on the bottom.
