Default Latest find, C grade Lifter

I tripped and fell into this today. Not perfect, but with a little help, it'll be close. Serial number 6949, 10ga 32" BBLs. Bores are near perfect, action tight as new, however, had broken hammer screw, which i already drilled and EZ outted, a chip out of the butt stock and barrel finish is So So.

Great find! The treatment of the checkering pattern at the front of the wrist panels is very interesting. There is a good amount of remaining case color on the locks. However whatever fine engraving there is on them (like dogs and such), is not very visible. At least not in the photos. I am sure the gun could benefit greatly from a good cleaning.

I saw the gun at the show. Came back to buy and was gone. I ended up with 250 grade instead. I could not believe that both were there at reasonable prices. Nice early gun.

Very nice and congrats !

I like it a lot . If I had lucked into that one I have a gunsmith buddy that could have done everything on the screw except the engraving . But we have a guy that engraves for us but he isn't inexpensive by any stretch of the imagination .
