Default Looking for help appraising and selling 1883 parker

Serial number 35838, Frame Size 3, Barrel Weight 5, Grade 2.

Can anyone offer any insight into the best way to appraise and sell this item. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

looks like a 300.00 to 400.00 gun...look on gun broker you will find them from time to time selling in this price range...this is my opion... charlie

Rick,

First welcome to the forum.

I first thing a person needs to realize about old guns like yours is that condition and or rarity drives the values of a gun.

In the case of your gun we only have the pictures you posted to go off of for determining condition. From what I see your gun it has some significant issues with the butt stock which will affect the overall value quite a bit.

From what I see Charlie has probably hit it fairly close for value. But you never know, this may be just the project gun someone has been looking for.

As far as selling it.

You can join the Parker collectors here and then advertize it for sale here in the members only section on this site. or you can put it on gunbroker with a penny start & no-reserve auction. This will probably sell the gun and get you top market value for it.
