Heck of a shot but watching the video as a firearms instructor I can't say much for his safety practices. I can see the gun is unloaded but in the first scenes he is pointing it right at the crowd. In later shots he is firing with people in front of the firing line. Just my opinion.

boy that fella goes all out on a set up for crows... im gonna borrow some of his set ups and he can shoot to.. i noticed them were high brass shells he was shooting too... charlie

I watched the crow video yesterday, which took some time on my relatively slow DSL connection. I was amazed at how far some of his shot looked. I thought my 32" hammer gun would reach out there but this guy takes it a level or two further.... and he makes it looks so easy. Impressive.

I went thru the calculations of pattern density at 130 yards, assuming a VERY full choke. George Digweed is probably the best shotgunner on the planet, but at that distance, there are a lot of holes in the pattern large enough for a clay to get thru. So, after he has corrected for wind, barometric pressure, target movement, coreolis effect, and whatever else he has to do, I believe you still need to be lucky. Notice that he is shooting a springing teal, so that the shot sees the largest dimension on the clay, not just an edge.

John D. I was wondering the same thing. At that distance the holes in the pattern would be significant. I've seen Andy Duffy do similar presentations where he backs up further and further to see how far he can break a clay; he uses the springing teal also; makes sense. I think 80yds is the furthest I've seen him break one.
