Unmolested plain 28 gauge model 12’s are few and far between. I stopped bidding on one at auction many years ago when it got to $800.00. At the time you could buy a nice 20 gauge for half that.
I have not seen one in the wild since. |

Sixty years of collecting Model 12s and I've only had one chance at an unmolested field grade 28, and was outbid for it at Redding's Auction in Gettysburg.
