Default In Appreciation

I paid my dues today. The historical, technical and "how to" assistance over the last 6-8 months in refinishing my Parker has been wonderful. It is the least I can do to support the Association. So, here's a few pictures of my newly refinished 16ga. VHE

The engraving by Frank Conroy shows better in these.

Default the finishes

The case hardening was done by Malcolm Clark. I did the barrels and the stock; a local gunsmith helped me with nitre bluing the trigger guard, triggers and the forearm tip.

Looks outstanding! Is the barrel rust blued? Nice job!

Yes, I used Mark Lee's slow rust blue #3. I have browned lots of muzzle loading barrels over the years, so this was a fairly easy transition, just adding the boiling step. Thanks.

Oh, I forgot, I shot it today and everything works so I guess I got all the pieces back where they belong.

Default Restoring

I like all the work you have done especially the floorplate engraving which looks like a Brittany. Well done work. I had Angelo Bee engrave my Brittany Dessa on the floorplate of my 20 ga Win model 21 she is still with me but likes it even better when I use her gun!! The sides are engraved with Doves and Quail which fits our Texas birds I hunt every year. Great work and Photos. Enjoy that personalized Parker.!!!
