Default SBT thoughts

Here a a couple pics of my SBT, I allways felt like it had been re-done at some point based on the amount of case color and strange yellowish inlay in the forearm. Be interested to hear opinions from others who know more about these guns than me.

Heff,
You have a handsome gun. I can't contribute on the originality best to let others more knowledgeable chime in.

Jeff, nice gun but I am no help on the originality question.
I have found that when trying to upload pictures from my IPad or iPhone I can only load one at a time per post. Each image uploads as "image.jpg" so each image overwrites the first.
Save your images on a computer and give them distinct names, then you can upload as many as you like into a single post.

That is a beautiful gun. I'm not an expert but I question if the butt stock is original. Others who know better can comment. What make is the recoil pad? Maybe the inlay in the fore end is some trap shooters pet device.

The pad is a decelerator, the inlay looks like a round(size of a nickel)pc of yellow plastic?? I have been told it my be ivory that has yellowed over the years. Serial # says its a early Remington gun 236922. Would these guns have the serial# in the wood under the trigger guard?
