Default Educated guess as to original butt configuration on 1928 DHE 20gauge.

If a DHE 20 with 30" barrels and capped pistol grip left the factory in 1928 with a length of pull of 14 1/4 " and drop at heel of 2 7/8" and a weight of 6lbs. 7 ozs. and now weighs 6lbs.6ozs. with a 13 3/4" lop to a thin pad what would you think the original butt left the factory as. The letter does not state what the butt configuration was.

Thanks

ditto, since you have presented evidence that the stock has been cut.

A skeleton butt was the standard, and hence the default, configuration for a D.
