Hoping to get a few fall turkeys in a couple months. I’ve managed two birds with a VH 16 and a 1878 12.

Daniel what you need is a Parker 10 gauge known as the Short Ten. It chambers a 2 7/8” shell and kills anything with feathers out to 50 yards and beyond. Find one built on a 2 frame with 28” or 30” barrels and you’ll have about an 8 1/2 pound gun. Throw a leather sling on it and you can carry it all day long. Lots of guys on here use them and Mississippi patina just makes em look better. I had mine down there when I turkeyed around with Charlie and it didn’t hurt it one bit. Or hell, be like Charlie and use an 8 gauge 8-) |

Thanks, that gun is short 10 #5395, and is the first known exposed hinge pin Parker! $125 grade, lifter in original condition.
