Default Lifter Shoot

Mike Franzen and I met at Elk Creek this morning. Mike shot his new PH the first half of the course and his Lifter the second half. I was shooting my lifter as well. It has .013 constriction in both barrels. We shot a station on a lake and I aske Mike if I could shoot his PH. First I shot my Lifter at the water about 40 yards out and compared the pattern with Mikes. I think his PH must be full in both barrels. Not much forgiveness with that gun. Where he could clever Mike would let the birds get out to where his pattern was starting to develop. It was a lot of fun shooting with Mike and to have the lifters together. I forgot the camers, but have a picture from a previous shoot.

Harry, I had a lot of fun today shooting with you even though you humbled me with your shooting prowess. However, Carl Brandt is going to work with me at the Southern and help me get better at shooting these old "Crowbars". When Carl is finished with me I want a rematch! BTW....What you took as my "Cleverness" in letting the birds get out so my pattern would open up was more likely my trying to find the second trigger

I've seen Harry shoot, he's murderous with a scattergun.

Mike,

I am delighted to shoot with you anytime.

Destry,

You are too kind. I seldom shoot side by sides with anyone else and I discovered at the Southern that I was not God's gift to SXS shooters.
