Thin borders, tight English style scroll?

In my opinion - looser scroll with less detail than earlier examples of Parker Bros. graded guns.

Dean, would Brian's example above have been a Robert Runge (the father) engraving or an early example of his son Bob Runge? Or is it likely some other Parker engraver?

I believe this 1934 DHE is one of Bob's.

Let's all make sure we're talking about the son, who was called 'Bob' and not his father who was always referred to as 'Robert'.

Fred, is that seniors work or his son Bob's? Either way it's nice!

Where in Ohio is Red Haw? We lived in Minford, Ohio for 7 years when I was assigned to a Uranium Enrichment Project in Piketon, Oh while w/Stone & Webster Engr'rg Corp.

To Kevin McCormack, Kevin, you spent some time with Bob Runge and got to know him I understand. It's been said that Bob Runge kept his own log book of all the guns he engraved over the years. Is this correct and if so, would his daughter have this log and is the log accessible for those who might want to determine who might have engraved their guns. Thanks in advance.

Allen, The gun was recently acquired by another PGCA member. There were very few Parkers produced that year and even fewer of that quality. Therefore, I am presuming that one, or both Runges worked on it. In my view, it's the best looking DHE I've seen. Red Haw is in North Central Ohio, between Ashland and Wooster. Another pic.
