Default Checkering Pattern for a Gh

Anyone have a GH grade with A beaver tail forearm. I would like to know what the checkering pattern should be.

We've had this very question here before a few years ago. Try the search function to find it.

Here you go. Not that there may not have been some variation. But this pattern was from a 16g GHE skeet.

Brian, thank you for the information! I had searched the history with no luck. I just purchased a GHE with a beaver tail and this validates the pattern is correct.

For reference, VH guns would be very similar, just without the additional little bump-outs at the points.

Here are some pictures of the beaver tails on my GHE factory 2 barrel set. There are some small differences in the pattern.

That is a variation i have not seen before Scott.

Interesting that the patterns are different on the two forends on the same gun.

I will bring it by next time I come over. It is a neat gun. It is a 26" and 30" set. The forend on the 30" set is beefier than the 26" set. The serial number puts it to about 1928. So far the record book is missing for this serial number. I do hope it will surface someday.
