Default uploading video?

Is it possible to upload short videos into our threads? They were taken with my phone--comes up invalid file--it will come up on FB.

Harold, My guess is the file is too big. What I like to do is create an unlisted video on YouTube(you can only view it if you have the link) and then post the link(not the file) in a thread on this forum. I hope that helps, Jay

If you do upload to YouTube - yes, you can embed the video in your post with the following tags... To do that, use:

[ y t ] <--- Remove the SPACES! and after the link, use:

[ / y t ] <--- Remove the SPACES!

So, it would look like (with spaces, which you will NOT use!):

[ y t ]the link of your YT shortened link is here[ / y t ]

Hi Mike,

They need to be hosted elsewhere, as the core programming on a discussion server, such as this site, is very different than a video hosting server - which deals with huge file upload sizes, video codecs and compression, and the ability to stream multiple video formats simultaneously...

Anyway, my thanks for asking Mike and my thanks for that question!

Thanks John and a clear and simple answer for someone (me) who at times is technically challenged.
