You don't fool around! Less than one day to make a new screw and engrave it is pretty impressive! Great find and glad that gun has a proper home.

John: do the barrels by chance carry Birmingham Provisional Proof?

No, the only thing the bbls have stamped on the Tube is 34 on the left and a D on the right. Both near the flats. The right flat has a weight of 5 little 2 and the little J. J. Stamp on the right flat.

I received more information about my Shotgun. It turns out it is a $200 dollar grade, I would guess during that year, a Grade B, completed in April of 1876. The kicker is that is was made for the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, PA. In February of 1877, it was sold by the Charles Parker Company.
