Default 16 G 2 1/2

Tired of fooling with 2 3/4 inch 16's and 3/4 oz shot. Sometimes I get good crimps out of fired 2 3/4 inch Cheddites sometimes not. New hulls work fine once fired not as good, fired several times they don't crimp well at all.

Bought a used Mec 600 off eBay going to fit it out with the short kit. May still size and prime on the PW 375 finish up loading on the Mec. Thats what I do now with short 10's half PW half Mec. Buy a bunch of new Cheddite 2 1/2 inch hulls and use data straight out of Hodgdon's manual. They publish a 5700 lb load @ 1100 fps using International and the DR 16 wad.

I don't worry about my 16 Trojan with the 2 3/4's Parker 16 Hammer gun, Twist barrel , 2 3/4 hulls pressure concerns me some, and want to stick with 3/4 oz for low recoil.

Anybody ever look at the latest data they publish on line ? I think the 16 G 3/4 oz loads are new. Or I overlooked them during the powder shortage.

William
