The green color in the phots is not really there, It just shows up in the photos, It is oil from usiing it to clean some areas on the gun.

Default Last one

This was a large project.
Ive cleaned cosmoline over and over again, but this was way more time inclusive
Ive gotten a good appreciation for the parkers, at least this one.
Now that I know a bit more about what I should look for, i will keep my eye open for what comes up.
At least now I can say Im the proud owner of a parker..

But Im going to smell likes hoppes oil for years to come

Hi please don't be offended but I would caution you about shooting this gun since it seems to have cracks coming off the locks and a large crack coming off the tang. You might want to see how bad the tang crack is before you fire off a round.Good luck and enjoy your Parker.

Thank you

i was looking at that issue as well, and i dont think I could take the chance of shooting it. Although I want to

Ive put it up for sale on the arms list and gun trader as a relic just to see if there is any interest

I really dont even have an idea what to ask so I put 450 just to see what happens.

Im suspecting the best thing to try to do is part it out, or just sell it as a wall mount.

This isnt going to be my last Parker .. There is some real qualiy workmanship in these guns.

You did a good job at an initial cleaning. It looks better already than the start.
Don't be afraid to run a brass cleaning brush or a steel tornado bruch down the bores to try and get that junk out. If it is not part of the bores, it should come out.

One of the pics appears to show a gap at the breach. With that and the cracks, I wouldn't think of shooting it. No offense, but I think it'd look really good above someone's fireplace.
