Recently I went in search of a silver shield for a Parker project. It seems finding these may be a little difficult. I commissioned a local Silver Smith to make 12 shields in anticipation others might need a shield or might want to have one for a future need. These are an exact duplicate of he originals. These are made from 22 gauge Sterling Silver with 6 holes pre-drilled. Included is 3" of Sterling Silver wire which you can cut the length of the pins you would like. $40.00 for the shield and wire, includes the cost of my padded envelopes, and shipping to you.
Only 8 available. If you say you want one or two just let me know and they will go out right away this week, you do not need to wait for payment to get to me. If there is more interest I had a copper pattern made so it would be easier to make more if needed. Once these are gone, I would prefer to get enough people that might want them so I could order at least 6. In order to keep the price the same.
I also am having two Gold filled ovals made, they should only be about $10.00 more.
Finally as soon as I get an original shield for a pattern like those on the lower grades I will have some of these made.
As a side note these shield can have your initials engraved, if you would like but needs to be done before drilling and bending. I would be happy to get an estimate, would be machine engraved.
The guys making these are are from a family that has been doing custom work for over 50 years.
I'm not trying to make money on these but only trying to cover the costs. Would like to contribute something back for the commarodery shown to me since joining the PGCA.
Note the top left shield is the reproduction, the shield at the top right is the original.
Pardon the glare in the pictures.
