Smile Hello from left wing Massachusetts

First, Thanks for the admission to the forum.
My Parker 12 gauge came to me from my uncle who was an avid hunter, and also a catholic priest, of all things.
His father (my grandfather) left him his Parker and me being the only gun enthusiast nephew received the gun.
I never knew my grandfather but have heard stories of him and his gun.
Let’s just say my mother would tell me squirrel taste just like chicken, and any cat that got into his chicken Koop lived a short life.
Times have certainly changed, but hopefully my grandson will someday be interested and I’ll pass it along to him.

Welcome Joseph!

Being in Mass too, I share your misery. What town are you in?

What grade is your Parker? Please show us some pictures.

Dean

Dean, I’m from central Ma on Lake Quinsigamond, where abouts are you?
I’ve posted some pictures in an album, if you search my name you should find them.
Please pardon my ignorance in posting, I’m rather new at this.

Thanks all. Like I said it was given to me from my uncle. Father Arthur Prunier. He was an avid hunter.
I posted some pictures on this site and sent the serial numbers into Parker.

Hi Joseph - It looks like your serial number might be 202830 but it's really hard to see the last two digits in your pictures. That would make it about a 1923 Trojan.
I learned to shoot a side by side on a 1913 12 gauge Trojan with 28" barrels on pheasants and ducks back in Danvers where I grew up. I'm in Andover now and wishing I was in VT, NH or ME...

Dean, you’re correct, it’s a 1923, but I never shot it. I would hunt with a Mossberg 12 gauge pump in Rutland, Ma.
I had a yellow lab who was dump as a rock but was a natural in the field. So I took up hunting because of him. An accident has since stopped my days in the field but I still make it to the local range.
If you ever make it south to Worcester please drop me a line.
