Great pointer, insane house pet but I love him. Today, another training class to make him even more loveable and livable.
What was the person or kennels name you got your GSP from ? I don’t know the breeders that much around here anymore and when I did it was English setter and Brittany breeders . There was a Viszla guy that had a preserve but he’s gone now , I do think his ex wife may still do some breeding and training .

My dad’s dream gun has always been a Model 21 in 16 ga.
After several decades without a Model 21, I've gotten two of them since I've been in my 70s. First a big 12-gauge, 1953 vintage, vent rib, Skeet Gun, exactly the specs I thought would be perfect for me. Then last year a 1941 vintage, 16-gauge, Skeet Gun, which I really like and actually shoot much better. I'm betting your Dad will love a 16-gauge Model 21.

My friend Dave and I keep going back and forth on the correct nomenclature for the Ithaca NID 10-gauge with serial numbers in the 4xx,xxx series. He insists on using Super-Ten (bold emphasis as in Dave's first post here) whereas Ithaca's own literature repeatedly refers to the model as the Super 10 and that's what I've used in various writings.

Perhaps this is a good opportunity for Dave to tell us why he believes the correct name is the one he uses?

PS: this is my own pic, not copied from Dave's post.

Seconded as "Super 10" by Walt Snyder, the Ithaca Gun Co Historian.

Here's a partial copy of a factory letter on a certain Super 10.

It appears you guys have got me on that. Best excuse I can give is that I picked up "Super Ten" and "Magnum Ten" from Elmer's article in the September 1935, The American Rifleman, on his first year's experience with #500000. I shall work to mend the error of my ways.
