I wonder what is the last serial number without the oval vignette and the first serial number with the oval vignette???

Default Just acquired this GH

Has had a pad added at some point so has probably had the wood refinished, but has great dimensions for me so that makes it even more attractive.

Good question. The ones without the oval were not made for long

I have an 1890 GH that has the oval, so it was not long at all. The early DH's have the oval design like later GH's. My guess is they changed things around when the PH's came on the market.
