Edward - the long version of our barrel composition research to date is here
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...EK8OtPYVA/edit

The short version of the Parker analyses:
A pre - WWI Parker “Titanic” barrel (courtesy of Dave Suponski) - AISI 1030 with low concentrations of nickel and chromium.
A pre - WWI Parker “Trojan” barrel (courtesy of Dave Suponski) - AISI 1035.
A pre - WWI Parker “Vulcan” (courtesy of Ron Graham) - AISI 1015.
A post-WWI Parker “Vulcan” (courtesy of Dave Suponski) - AISI 1030.
A post-WWI “Parker Steel” (courtesy of Dave Suponski) - non-standard Acid Bessemer resulphurized rephosphorized AISI 1109.

BTW if someone would be so kind as to whack off 4" from their Parker Acme barrel I'd be happy to send it for testing

You might find this to be of interest also
