Three Remington era Parker SBT forearms. From bottom to top.
1) 1937 SC. This is the typical trap forearm and original to the gun. 2) 1937 SB. This is wider than the typical trap forearm but original to the gun. 3) 1936 SC. This is the forearm in question with the recessed reinforcement bolt. It is wider than typical and shaped more like a BTF on a side by side. I'm on the fence but lean toward it being original.

IBM cards on all three. Nothing more than grade, barrel length and where they were shipped to.

John,
What is the diameter of the hole in the hose of the forend? That forend looks longer than the others. The bolt you have in there is likely normal length. I find it hard to believe that they would not have used one that is the proper length fpr the forend. And the slot should be timed on it. Up and down. If in fact it is longer, you likely will have to make a new one that is of the right length. Unless there happens to be enough thread to allow a spacer to be used.

Brian, I’ll measure it when I get home this afternoon.

Make sure you note my additions to my above post.
I asked about the size because I am pretty sure that the SBT bokt uses a larger diameter head than the Double forend bolt. But I would need to confirm that point. I have a few SBT bolts/forends here in the parts bin.

The wood (only) on all three forearms measure 11" long length wise. All three are the same. The hole on each measures 3/8" diameter, all the same. The bolt is recessed 1/4" on the atypical SC.
