Default Birthday hunt for #65!

Continued my birthday hunt tradition which started when I turned 12, the day after Christmas. Have missed only a few years!
A nice outing with my son Brandon with his P grade 16, and Calvin the wonder pup! Great success on the pheasants and chukars!

An excellent tradition! And one I hope you keep for many years to come.

There's just something nice about a black dog against winter grass...

We always did a thanksgiving morning hunt while mom made the feast. We would grab the beagle, some shells and walk out the back door! Them days a long gone now...)-: I do not hunt rabbits anymore...have a setter now and hunt birds. Ohio has no wild birds to speak of and I am the last hunter left. My wife still does a great thanksgiving meal and this past one we hade wild grouse and it was yummy. Now I must travel to hunt with new friends....SXS Ohio

Keavin, Eastern PA? Are you hunting on a commercial preserve or a private preserve? Which one? Maybe state game lands?

Bill, hunting Pheasant Valley Farm, new place for me. Nice place. Lost Powderbourne when the owner past last year. No native birds here except grouse to the north.

Pheasant Valley Farm is a great place with a great attitude. I took my 3.5yr old GSP to train with Karen and Mark as a pup. I've hunted there about 8-10 times. Always highly recommended.

I live and grew up about 20 mins from Powderbourne. It was a shame to hear of their closing. It was always a staple around us.

Nice job. I usually hunt on or around my birthday which is christmas eve. I got some decent hunting on state birds in Monroe co.When looking at your photos I thought you were at my club which is Echo farms which does have a preserve license. Where is Pheasant farms located? Have a great New Year.
