Could be a random friend I suppose but Spiller had a lot of distinguished and not so “random” friends and associates.

I’m going to make it my ‘life’s mission’ to discover who he is....

So please, if anyone thinks he knows who this man is, post it here. And pictures supporting your opinion would be good.

Dean, shot in the dark here...google 'William Barber Haynes goose and duck shooting' and look at images. You'll see a picture of him holding a some geese. Not sure, but there is a faint similarity. Question is, was this Haynes cat an upland hunter traveling in Spiller's circles. Good luck on your search.

The guy looks a little like the person on this book cover by Arthur MacDougall Jr.




I can't find an image of MacDougall to know if the book cover is a rendering of the author. MacDougall was born in 1896.
