That would be a great official PGCA hat. I am 71 and I can remember men wearing those as far back as I can remember. We can get ball caps anywhere. I replaced mine with a army cap with inside flaps. I just recently got rid of it because it was worn out. I would like to live and hunt long enough to wear one of these out.

my first hunting caps were Jones caps- this would be a great use for getting an old canvas shooting coat back into the coverts

Like I said, Barry will work with any kind of fabric you send him, or he'll do his best to locate what you want.

I did about have to half boil my old Carhartts to get them clean enough where I wasn't ashamed to send them. They were so faded out he actually used the inside as the outside of the cap so it would have good color.

P.S. I have absolutely no financial stake in this deal. I was just so pleased to find a place where I could get "exactly what I wanted" that I wanted to share.

P.S. to Gerald: I don't think I'll live long enough to wear out any of these caps. But I'm damn sure gonna try!

One more! This is what's called a four panel cap. Notice the attention to detail, even has a dark green underbill just like the old ones. Same deal, made from my old Carharts, the vintage flannel, and an ancient Super Dux label I'd salvaged off something years ago.
