I'd be pulling that right lock plate. There's shouldn't be an empty hole there.

Rich,
I fully disassembled the gun for a thorough cleaning and thankfully all parts were there, but I had it in hand before I bought it to confirm function. And yes the spring peg is present.

Good. It just looks like that hole is empty in the picture. Glad that's not the case.
