Default Busted Ejector.

I'm trying to locate a right side ejector for a 2 frame BHE. Mr. Jurewicz suggested Valley Gun, and they did have one for a VHE (rt. side) if anyone needs one of those.

I'll try Galazan and Ivory Beads tomorrow...any other leads would be appreciated.

I accidentally posted the original story and my questions on the reproductions forum; why do they break, did the gauge mates cause any problems (shooting 20 ga. target loads) etc?

Can an ejector gun be easily converted to an extractor? Any thoughts on that operation? I would consider a conversion if the reversal was fairly straightforward.

The VHE ejector should work if it is from a 2 frame.

Pat, Jack did indicate it was a smaller frame gun. I'll call in the morning and double check. Will a 1 1/2 frame ejector work, or does it need to be a #2? Thanks, Brian

Default Ejector to Extractor

It is best if the entire ejector mechanism is removed in changing to the extractor. The extractor must be kept as clean as the ejector to work well.

Best, Austin

I had one break but it was welded back together and have shot thousands of rounds since the repair and no problems. Have you considered repairing the broken one?

Austin, I've spoken to Jim at Ivory Beads in the meantime and have decided to NOT switch to an extractor system. What would your suggestion be for keeping the ejectors clean after a muddy, rainy trip from the blind? Brian

Richard, I have the flat portion of the ejector but can't find the push rod. Do I have enough for a fix? Brian

Brian, if you have the flat part and all you need is the rod tig welded that should not be a problem, I am pretty sure Del Whitman in Lake Ann MI could do that repair for you. Eric
