Default A good day today

Went to the 10th annual Maine side by side championship in Scarborough Maine today. I left my GHE skeet in the truck and shot a VH with a little more choke, .015 and .025. Glad I did, broke 83 out of 100.

Congrats Pete. Nice shooting. Like John said give us some details, blow your own horn a bit. You earned it. Any other Parker shooters/guns there?

Thanks John, I was on a roll early cleaning my first 4 stations out of 14, then reality set in. Shoot was held by Downeast Maine chapter of the Vintagers. It was scheduled for Sat, they canceled for rain (but it didn't rain) and moved it to today. That probably cut down the number of attendees which I am guessing was about 15. Hi gun was Mal MacGregor who I think many know. He was shooting a brand new to him gun, something English of course. It was unique in that it was a 10 bore with 12ga chambers. He is amazing when he is on his game and broke 95 x 100 and crushing his targets. The barrel walls at the breach are easily 50% thicker than my 3 frame 12ga VH, it's massive. Scarborough Maine is very nice course of fire with a good mix-up of target presentations. Very reasonable too, $45 for 100 targets. Some pics of my squad mates.

Champion Mal MacGregor

You made us proud.
3 frame Parkers are way cool.
Keep up the strong work. Hope you get him at the Vintage Cup.

I visited with Austin yesterday and a topic of discussion was that a great many early lifter Parkers were also bored and chambered that way.

Congratulations on your good shooting Pete!!

I've seen Mal shoot... and still trying to find an adjective to describe it. "Extremely impressive" is about all I can come up with.
