Default Titanic barrel question?

I have a GH made in 1890. The barrels are upgraded to titanic steel with engraving and a matching serial number. The first question is, does anyone know why the barrels have ML after the number? 617xxML.
Thanks

Previous owners initials? I have never seen an ML stamp on a Parker shotgun.

First where was the upgrade done? At the factory, could be the initial of the person fitting the barrels

A 61,XXX serial number range is way too early for Titanic barrels so they were obviously fitted to the gun at a much later date. I have never seen an original Parker serial number with alpha characters as a suffix and the only alpha prefix I have ever seen is engraved on the trigger guard tang as "No" for 'number'.
