Default Restored 12g. 32" Grade 2 Lifter

When I aquired this 32" 12g. Lifter a while back it was a project for sure, but mostly all there and solid. One hammer was missing and all metal were heavy patina. But the gun was tight, and all original wood was free of damage.

The bores were pitted, but were able to be cleaned up some with a little honing. There was plenty of wall thickness left for honing and refinishing. The lower rib was a little loose at the very end. Kearcher fixed up the rib and Dale Edmonds refinished the barrels.

The engraving on the gun was so packed with dirt and crud, I thought all of it would need to be recut, but annealing the parts blew out all the junk and the engraving was actually in very good shape. Good enough to not need any touching up with a light polishing.

I replaced both hammers with a matched pair from an 0 grade. Tom Carter provided new hammer screws. Both hammers and screws were engraved to match the original pattern by Geoffroy Gournet. He did them right at the Vintagers this past September.

The frame was re-case colored. And the original wood was refinished and checkering recut.

The gun weighs in at 8# 12 oz.

Fantastic! You must be really busy because you are sure kicking the stuff out! Wish I had your skills and ambition. You are a great asset to the Parker Bros. namesake.

No,
The colors were done by someone that I cannot really name since it is more of a hobby for them.
