Default Leave VH cooked or release hammers when storing

Some say to release hammers when storing, others say leaving hammers cocked will not hurt them. Need info. Thanks.

Whatever makes you feel better. It does not really matter.

If you must release them and do so without using snap caps I would suggest when you open the gun that you place your thumb or finger against the ejector kicker to prevent it from slamming into the ejector stop plate. While dry firing or releasing the hammers will not cause any damage allowing the kickers to slam into the ejector stop plate without the aid of a snap cap to reduce the impact may very well cause you some grief.....

If something is going to break, it'll be an ejector.
