Default 20 guage value

I would appreciate any help on this. I am looking to get a value on this. I live in the Atlanta area. Does anyone know of a place that I can have it appraised? Also where is the best place to sell a gun like this.

FYI: Sales of guns by non-PGCA members on the open forum are not allowed.

Blue Book of Gun Values.
50% condition since it has restored.

Billy
The best place to sell it is right here. First, you need to join PGCA then offer it up with as a complete a description as you can. If you take it to a dealer he will offer you about half of its value, as he needs to make money to be in business. That looks like a 30" barrel and that adds value to the gun

Hi, Billy,

You've already gotten perhaps the best advice on selling which is to become a member and put your nice gun up for sale on the members only site. I see lots of nice guns that are knowledgeably describe by fellow members. You can learn a great deal in a short time on the forum.

As already mentioned, selling to a dealer will mean the dealer, who needs to make a profit, will not be able to give you what the gun might be worth since he has to make a living. However, there are dealers who sell on consignment. I've done this with some long ago (no longer in business), and it works well if you don't overprice your gun in the first place. You can easily find dealers on a google search or on a site like Guns International or Guns America. They should clearly state their terms for consignment. If you check those sites you can pretty quickly tell which dealers know and offer Parkers. Auction houses are also a possibility. Like a dealer, they take their cut in one way or another. GunBroker is yet another option. You should also check them out.

20 gauge Parkers are desirable, especially in good condition (duh, right?). I think it would be worth your while (and money) to become a PGCA member. I'm sure you'd get even more knowledgeable suggestions on your Parker. You might even find you want to keep your Parker!

Good luck.

I agree with David; It sure "looks" like a 30", and we know the book is all too often wrong. Maybe the owner could measure and tell us for certain.
