Default Willian Foster illustration help

Attached are a few photos of another William Foster painting .
It is dated 1916 as best as I can distinguish.
Looking for help in finding out what magazine it was used for.
My guess would be from national sportsman but not sure.
I would love to get the year and month if anyone knows.
I Put on a close up of the shotgun as thought it may interest the group.
Can’t seem to rotate the photos correctly any advice?

I find that by editing the photo and just cropping a very thin insignificant edge from it and saving it, that it will post right side up.

The print was part of a Foster series purchased from National Sportsman entitled 'Dawn on Nantucket Marsh' and I believe more likely 1920s

Your print was 'Shorebird Hunting' and also used on the cover of a promotional pamphlet

This was another in the series and used on the August 1925 cover

This is the actual original painting
I thought it may be for a magazine cover
I thought he illustrated for national sportsman and the hunting and fishing magazine

Here's one of my favorites. Imagine hunting waterfowl with a .410?

WHF could paint some very amusing illustrations.

That is a great one.
I have never seen that one before.
But he did get the hand correctly to give you the read on the 410. It is all in the details.
