Default Andy Devine's Parker

Andy Devine (born in Flagstaff and raised in Kingman, AZ), Fred MacMurray and of course Robert Stack were reportedly the best of the Hollywood skeet shooters.
This is Dorothy Devine, Andy & Grits Gresham in a segment of "American Sportsman"

Dean posted another image from the show back in 2012

Andy was also a Field Trial gunner

OMGoodness... is that a white-line pad on Andy's straight grip .410 Skeet configured Parker?? I'm sure it's not because of the recoil - must be to add LOP.

Here are a couple more pics from that hunt.

Default Andy Devine Parkers

Andy Devine was a neighbor of mine when he lived in orange county, California.
About a year after his death I talked to a family member about his guns. I was told he had "at least two parker .410's". At that time the family had decided to hold on to the collection of guns which they indicated were substantial. They may still have them as i never saw any come up for sale.

History belongs to those who write it, but to my eye it appears to me that in all three pictures Dorothy is holding a Winchester Model 21.

In 2003 on my way to the Winter Las Vegas show I stayed in Kingman and went to the museum there. At that time there was quite a few displays of Andy's hunting and Field Trial shooting. When I was there again about 2015 there was a lot less.

I agree Dave, especially in the pic with the geese.
Also in the pic I posted of Dorothy and Andy am I seeing things or does her gun have wedge engraving on the barrels??

That is what I see, along with no rib extension.

Yup, the caption describing Dorothy's Parker is incorrect. It is a Model 21.
